Juan Carlos Prieto Williams will lead our technology and competitiveness practice area at Vianovo.  Having known and worked alongside Juan Carlos for many years, I can say with certainty that he's a first rate guy who will greatly enhance our capabilities and expertise in the information and communication technology sector.  Juan Carlos' experience in the ICT sector is, frankly, unparalleled, and his reputation among leading Fortune 500 companies is stellar, too.

There's also been considerable positive news of late coming out of Mexico.

Agustin Carstens, the country's central bank chief has been shortlisted for the IMF post (read more online about Carstens here.).  And, Council on Foreign Relations' fellow Shannon O'Neil recently penned a great Blog post that looked at the upside for economic growth and business in Mexico; you can read it here.  Finally, in spite of the drug cartel violence that grabs the headlines, Mexico is, by this account, experiencing a "stunning economic boom."
